COVID ISOLATION-CLASS CANCELLED IN GANDER BAY
posted Feb 25, 2022, 7:18 PM
Due to unforeseen circumstances of covid isolation as my son tested positive for covid, I have no choice but to cancel class tomorrow - we are disappointed as it looks to be a beautiful day! I am not out of isolation until Monday morning. We are doing ok so far.
We can do a class March 4 on the PL day and Saturday and the longterm forecast looks to be cold and sunny for the rest of March. I could also make the days to have an hour long lesson per group to get the 4-30 minute lessons in. Please let me know if you want to wait another few days, if not I will refund fees.
I did try to see if some of our coaches could come out to run the class for me tomorrow but no one is available due to other commitments or are also self-isolating.
Wishing we were coming to skate instead of stuck inside. We’ve been waiting for this great weather all winter!
See you at the rink!

DELAYED START FOR GANDER BAY
posted Feb 11, 2022, 9:27 PM
Due to the mild weather affecting the ice surface in the Gander Bay Rink, we will be delaying our start of lessons to next week when temps get back to freezing. Many outdoor rink owners are suffering with trying to save their ice with all the warms days.
I just spoke with the committee and they would prefer we wait to next week to start with all the thawing weather we've had this week. They need to resurface and repair spots in the middle and they edges so we don't loose it all. I was really looking forward to coming your beautiful neighbourhood and skating in some fresh air with some great people!
Alternatively, do you have a PL day coming up on Friday? We could come Friday afternoon to do the lessons. Let us know,
Coach Bev
